Liz Heron is Director of Social Media and Engagement for The Wall Street Journal, where she leads a team of journalists who tap into social networks for newsgathering, creative distribution and community engagement. Liz also develops strategies for innovating on new platforms such as Google+, and sets standards for individual journalists and desks when it came to using Twitter and Facebook for journalism. Previously, she was a Social Media Editor at The New York Times, the Innovations Editor for Foreign and National Security at The Washington Post, and a Trends Producer at ABC News.
