Joseph Gregory is deputy editor of the Views pages of the International Herald Tribune, the global edition of The New York Times. He selects Op-eds, editorials, illustrations, editorial cartoons and letters to the editor that appear in the IHT Views pages, on the IHT/New York Times global opinion website, and in sister publications that reproduce IHT work in dozens of countries around the world. He also reviews, selects and edits Op-ed submissions from writers and analysts around the world, and solicits and edits articles for the IHT’s quarterly Global Agenda magazine. Prior to his current post, he worked as an editor on the IHT’s news and financial desks. From 1993-2000, he was an editor on The New York Times foreign desk. He has also worked as an editor for the Wall Street Journal based in the Netherlands and Brussels, and for the New York-based Foreign Policy Association. Previously, he was also based in Hong Kong and reported on Asian issues. He began his career in journalism at several New Jersey based newspapers.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York.
