Lisa Takeuchi Cullen is a New York-based writer and author. Until recently, she was a staff writer at TIME magazine, which she joined in 2001 as a Tokyo correspondent not long after her IRP Fellowship. Previously, she was a staff writer for Money magazine in New York. Her first book, “Remember Me:  A Lively Tour of the New American Way of Death,” was published in 2006. She has appeared on numerous national television and radio programs to talk about her book and other topics. She is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism obtained bachelor’s degrees in journalism and English from Rutgers College. Her website is www.lisacullen.com.
