Elisabetta Anna Coletti is a staff writer at The Christian Science Monitor in Boston. Since joining the paper in 1998, she has written news features, edited in the arts section and reported from Italy. Currently she is the regional editor for Latin America and Africa. Before moving back to Boston, she freelanced from Florence, where she also ran a cooking school and a walking-tour company. During that time, she also wrote from Bosnia, Croatia and France. In 1996 she worked for the Associated Press in Rome. In the two previous years, she wrote for the "Let's Go" travel guides. She studied at the Università degli Studi di Bologna and is a graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in Romance Languages and Literatures.
