Christy George is a senior producer at Oregon Public Broadcasting in Portland, Oregon. As part of her responsibilities, she edits, produces and reports special projects for Oregon Public Radio, which airs and contributes programs to National Public Radio, the BBC, PBS and others. She is the president of the Society of Environmental Journalists. Recent special projects include the “Denmark Project,” a series of radio specials about the impact of climate change in one small Oregon town, and the TV documentary, “Forecast Cloudy,” about weather forecasters who are climate skeptics. She moved to Oregon in 1997 to create the business and environment bureau for “Marketplace” Radio. Previously she worked at WGBH-TV and WBUR-FM in Boston, as well as at the Boston Herald. She was a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University.
