Patrícia Campos Mello is an editor-at-large with Folha de S. Paulo and a columnist with Folha.com. She has covered international relations and global economics for 12 years. Recently, she covered the protests in Brazil, farmers displacement in Mozambique, direct cash transfer programs in India, the 2012 US elections and 2011 Peruvian elections. She has written two books, Índia: Da miséria à potência (Editora Planeta, April 2008) and O mundo tem medo da China (Editora Mostarda, 2005). She also worked as a reporter with Valor Economico and Gazeta Mercantil, two daily financial newspapers in Brazil. Patricia has a master’s degree in Business and Economic Reporting from New York University, where she received the New York Financial Writers Award. She graduated in Journalism from Universidade de São Paulo. She speaks fluent English, German and Spanish in addition to Portuguese.
