Miriam Berger is a journalist with a love for all things media and Middle East. She is currently a staff writer at BuzzFeed's World section, focusing on international news and online conversations from New York. From 2012-13, she was based in Cairo, where she was a freelancer and a Fulbright Fellow studying Egyptian media. Berger has written and edited on many political, economic, and social topics, including media, refugees, and the Middle East. She is also proficient in Arabic. She has a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
