Kurt Achin is a Seoul-based Correspondent and Bureau Chief for Voice of America. Kurt opened the Seoul bureau in late 2004 after spending the Fall 2004 semester at Johns Hopkins University as a Fellow in the International Reporting Project. He was a producer of CNN International’s World News in Atlanta for five years before moving to Hong Kong to launch original programming, including the pan-Asian technology magazine "eBizasia," and "TalkAsia," a program that features in-depth interviews with Asian leaders. He has also been a reporter, assignment editor and producer for CNN, Voice of America, StarNews Asia, and the Canadian Broadcasting Company. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
