|Ethiopia trip fellows are required to produce blog posts, social network updates, stories and other content frequently throughout the trip, which will survey newborn health in the country.
The IRP trip will focus on efforts to prevent newborn deaths, as well as provide an overview of maternal and child health, immunizations, nutrition, communicable diseases, and health care provision in Ethiopia, among other topics.
In particular, we will look at three preventable and treatable conditions that still persist: premature births, complications during childbirth and infections.
We will also examine social factors—such as women’s empowerment, governance, and marginalized communities—in this landlocked East African country.
In 800 to 1,000 words, please describe the stories and angles you would like to pursue on these topics.
