Watch this video to learn more about the Millennium Villages Project and how health workers in rural Kenya are using mobile technology to more effectively treat patients. Child Count is a SMS-based system used for a variety of purposes, including addressing acute malnutrition and children with diarrhea as well as testing and treatment for malaria using Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits. With Child Count, community health workers are able to register patients and log the data via a secure mobile portal. Working on the ground since 2005 Child Count and the Millennium Villages Project is committed to ending poverty and reaching the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
